6 Days Left!

The next time I post, it'll be August! Maybe. Listen, I'm happy that I've been able to post updates weekly thus far. I deserve something for that.

*Transitions to talk about updates* Patreon rewards have been updated! I've recategorized rewards and tried to run with the theme of a spy / agent operation. If anyone has name suggestions, I'll take them! Basically the higher the tier, the more artwork you will see or receive! Check out my new rewards on my Patreon page!

Pit Pat Valley is going to be placed on a longer haitus. Ideas are not coming to me with that project, and I don't feel excited about drawing it. If I feel inspired, I may doodle down a comic. Otherwise, I'll just play with the characters now and then! I'm thinking about putting Valley in a new title card!

Yeah, I feel my title cards for the stream are getting a bit old. My "end of stream" / "thanks for watching" title card isn't even complete, and if I want to grow, that needs to be updated! Since I have more characters, I'm thinking to add them and attempt to keep with my pirate theme! We'll see how it goes. x]

The one year anniversary of Princess Flux: Journeys of the Abstract Princess is August 13, and I want to do something fun for that! I've been doodling so many character designs for the Fifth Ruler, that I've just about maybe settled on a design for her? I'm figuring out body type at the moment. She may be ominously included in the background along with the Fourth Ruler since I also have one (1) design for her. All the main characters introduced in chapter one will be celebrating! I have some ideas I need to develop a bit more.

On another note, I've been reading 90 Days to Your Novel by Sarah Domet to really get those thrusters going in writing the next chapters. It's a good reference book so far! I had much of the planning for the story done already, so I didn't have to do much of the preliminary set up. However if you have an urge to write a novel, but don't have any inspiration, the exercises would definitely help to start you off! I wish it wasn't so Earth-centric, but that's my only critique so far!

I've been also working on some art for my friend which I am almost done completing, and I can't wait to show you guys. I have had two people say they enjoy it which makes me happy. I have to deal with lighting and shadows which I'm not too excited about, but I am ready for!

So what am I going to be doing for the next 6 days? My time to do digital art has been limited due to my schedule. As mentioned in my previous blog, that time is also being shared with art tutorials and other offline projects. However, I am attempting to keep the offline and traditional projects until after computer hours, so I can maximize my drawing time!

During that time, I'm going to be finishing off drawing the remaining 10 panels of "The Dark Rose" animation project. So that's about 20 more panels actually drawn, and would take approximately 5 days if I use the same math as in my "11 Days in July Already!" blog. I'd then be ready to move on to Phase 4 (3? 5?) of the animation process and create that animatic!

I'll also do some background sketches of my papa's children book "Chicks and Ann" since I'm making progress with that! Below is a small turnaround of Ann! I have to make a turnaround of her brother soon too!

With discipline, I'll have a layout of the first half of the book! I borrowed a few library children's book for inspiration!

My final focus in the sketch phase is to create more thumbnail sketches and perhaps actual sketches of panels for Princess Flux: Journeys of the Abstract Princess. I slowed down a bit working on adding shading to a page, but I have to practice moving a bit faster! I like the idea of adding more color, yet my current goal is to keep the fire going and maintain that buffer! In the future, I'll probably make sure I have the line art completed for 3 or 4 pages. If I need to, I can remove the color and upload all of them and move on to the next bunch. I shouldn't be spending more than a week on a page!! If I can get one and a half pages done in a week, I'd love that!

On the digital side, I'll be continuing to make progress on the comic, work on Ann's brother character art, and finish up the art project for my friend! For the longer streams, I'm going to continue my progress with the character sheets, and finish the character lineup sheet for Princess Flux: Journeys of the Abstract Princess and this shading on the Yiskaña and Goreestuv drawing:

I may work on creature drawings as a warm up / cool down since creatures are so fun. I am interested in making adoptables, and that's the best way for me to get started!

Wish me luck for this week, and I'll see you again in August (probably)!

Ja ne~!
